Good Nature in the city

Putting back into the community

Good Nature in the community

The Woodlands Community Garden (WCG) is committed to regenerating the area in a sustainable way.

The project is centred around a piece of land transformed into a community space. The garden bring the community together through arts activities, education and more. When we heard about the work of the WGC we wanted to be involved, so we asked how we could help.

Making a difference

One part of WCG’s programme involves weekly cookery demonstrations at Greater Maryhill Foodbank. Working with WCG, we now supply fresh produce to be used in these classes. We believe breaking down barriers to cooking can help more people utilise fresh produce in their diet. It’s often cheaper and it’s definitely healthier. We’re proud to support the important work of these two organisations helping to build a sustainable future for local communities.
